“CIAO BELLA” was for a pizzeria passion project that I did. I aimed to encapsulate a cosmopolitan Italian summer of love through hand drawn illustration, branding and packaging design. This design featured a retro typeface that is reminiscent of the decade of love (late 60s to 70s). In particular I wanted to target the young dating scene, as the pizza boxes, coffee cups, and business cards all have useful pick up lines. Oh to be young and in love – most of the time it is a scary journey to go on however my mission for this was to connect people who would not have met otherwise, through the love of a hot cheesy date. Food is one of the key features we bond over and I wanted to incorporate my favorite food in a project that wholly encapsulated my style. Fun, vibrant, simple and intentional with the aim of impacting those looking for love in a enjoyable way.
